Dr Ingrid McGuffog provides clinical treatment reports and letters in selected matters where it is clinically appropriate, ethically permissible, and within scope. These reports are written from the perspective of a treating counsellor and clinical criminologist and may be relevant for clients involved in legal, court, workplace, family, or other formal processes.
Reports are factual, balanced, and based on information available through clinical sessions, client self-report, professional observations, relevant documents provided, and any outcome measures used in treatment. They are not advocacy letters and do not guarantee any particular legal outcome.
A clinical treatment report is not the same as an independent forensic assessment, psychological assessment, psychiatric report, violence risk assessment, parenting capacity assessment, or expert witness report.
Unless specifically agreed in writing and within professional scope, reports do not provide formal diagnosis, psychometric opinion, prediction of future behaviour, criminal responsibility opinion, or independent forensic opinion.
Where a request falls outside my role, competence, or available clinical evidence, I may decline the request or recommend referral to an appropriately qualified forensic psychologist, psychiatrist, or specialist assessor.
